SOPHA (Studio of Photographic Arts), 15 Merrill Street, will be holding a one day workshop on photographing food on Saturday, October 8 from 10 am to 5 pm. Registration is $225 -$279.
Food Photography: The Harvest Table is a class for artists who love cooking and eating food, but haven’t married their art to their second passion. This program is an introductory course on the art of styling REAL food – nothing artificial will be used to enhance the look or flavor.
The program will be run by Jenn Bakos and Jessica Ramos, two of New England’s most talented food photographers.
The course will be divided into three segments, all run on one day.
In the first part of the program, discusses what participants are going to shoot, providing an overview of lighting, settings, and equipment selection and the tips and tricks to keep food photography natural, professional, and EDIBLE.
The second part of the course will be a hands on styling exercise where participants will recreate a style based on selected images.
The final part of the program will focus on capturing the action of creating a recipe and photographing a harvest table spread.
Combine your love of food with your love of photography. A class to learn lighting and styling hands on! From still life to the use of movement and the human element to create the feel and look of a scene that may have just happened. Tell a story with food.
