Bike the city, protect the city. Manchester Conservation Commission will host the first ever Manchester Bike Ride from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., this Sunday, Sept. 18.
Tickets, which are $15 for a single rider or $50 for a group of four, can be purchased online and include breakfast, rest stops, bike support and a barbecue at the end of the 35 mile ride. All proceeds go to the Manchester Conservation Fund.
About the tour
The tour will begin at PSNH Energy Park, 780 North Commercial St., and will loop around to the Aviation Museum at the Airport, before hitting Lake Massabesic, the historic landmark Weston Observatory and then heading back to the overlook at PSNH on the Merrimack River.
About the Manchester Conservation Fund
The Conservation Fund was established by the Manchester Conservation Commission, stewards of Manchester’s natural resources. The fund will provide the city support for citywide environmental projects including education, streambank stabilization and land conservation. In addition, the fund will assist the Urban Pond Restoration Program, an EPA Merit Award recipient.

Thank you for posting this article. Three of us looked at the website for this event a few weeks ago and saw the $50 not seeing that it was for a group of 4 riders. So much for reading the normal print. Eric and I will so be there. We will try to get others to join us for a good event for a good cause — for a fair price.
