The Manchester City Library, 450 Pine Street, continues its silent film series on Tuesday, October 11 at 5 pm with a screening of The Leopard Woman (1920) in the auditorium. The film, starring Louise Glaum, House Peters, and Noble Johnson, will be accompanied by live music provided by local pianist and composer Jeff Rapsis.
Two rival European governments have sent secret agents to the uncivilized African kingdom of M’tela. British agent John Culbertson leads a safari from Bajuma, on the edge of the desert, to the savage kingdom.
Madame, who is known as the “Leopard Woman,” is also leading a safari to M’tela for a rival government. Her mission is to prevent Culbertson from reaching the kingdom.
